Bedside Cot Reviews
A bedside crib (also called a bassinet) is located close to your bed so you can be able to provide care to your baby during night feeds and changing nappy without having to get out of your bed. These cribs are great to help develop independence in your child as they get more comfortable in their own bed.
The Joie Roomie Glide
The Joie Roomie Glide crib is a crib that can be placed at the bedside, allowing parents to rest with their newborn while ensuring that they are safe to sleep. Its smooth gliding motion helps to lull your baby back into sleep and its innovative features let you keep an eye on your baby without leaving your own bed.
The cot's side panel sliding lifts and lowers with the press of an button, making it a breeze to reach inside and soothe a crying infant at night. It also has 11 height adjustments that allow it to fit on the mattress of almost any size bed. It also has adjustable folding feet to make sure that it sits at just the right height.

The cot is cushioned, features mesh sides for better the airflow, and the mattress is made of high-density foam for added protection. It's also washable and you can keep the crib clean. It comes with a fitted bed sheet that is suitable for a crib.
The Roomie Glide, unlike some other cribs for beds, is compatible with a wide range of beds, including divans. This is because of the clips and straps that connect it. It can be used as a standalone crib even when it's not attached to the bed. It has many amazing features designed with parent and baby bonding in mind.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that although this crib is great for newborns, it won't last long after your child is six months old, so you'll have to purchase larger cots. Overall, Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide crib was a great buy. She liked its sleek design.
The Roomie Glide is available to purchase at John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna thought was an affordable price for a cot featuring these advanced features. She was pleased with the way it looked in her bedroom, and thought its gray color would be appropriate for most modern homes. However, she pointed that it's not an ideal idea to rock a young baby, as it can create the stage for bad habits that will affect later sleep patterns.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning crib for bed designed with a safe night's sleep in mind. It features a drop-side rail that is able to be easily adjusted to feed your child in the evening without disturbing them or forcing them out of the bed. This is ideal for breastfeeding mothers! It's also light, making it easy to move around the house during naps and for travelling.
We love the fact that it's made of soft materials that have breathable mesh sides that promote airflow and comfort. It is available in charcoal or oak and a variety of melange fabrics that can be incorporated with all styles of decor. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure when attached to her bed with the legs securely clicking into place and the zips secure to ensure baby safety. It took her about 10 minutes to assemble it and did not require tools, and comes with clear instructions and a video or customer support contact number should you run into any problems.
The CoZee crib comes with all the features you would think of in a crib for your bed, including the ability to connect it to your existing bed using a stay-in-place connection system. It also comes with six height settings. Additionally it has an incline feature that can be used to assist infants suffering from reflux or congestion. It can also be washed in the machine and is a must for all the spills, vomit, and snot that can be found in a newborn baby!
The CoZee is a fantastic option to keep your child close during the first six months of learning to fall asleep independently. It can be used as a cot, changing station and toddler bed. It can be turned into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. It will not feed your baby or magically sleep them it will gently rock them to send them off!
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco’s more expensive options. It does have numerous amazing features. It's designed as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib and is suitable for babies up to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel using the new mechanism. It's also more flexible than the previous model, with 11 different height settings and retractable legs for a secure place under any bed.
Our testers loved the easy access to the side panel that can be flipped up and down with just one push of one button. This was a huge benefit during night time feeds, as it meant they could easily reach inside and take their baby away without waking them up.
It is possible to lower the side panel by itself but this is not recommended as it increases the risk that your baby will fall out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism ensures that it can only remain in place when it is attached to the parent's bed correctly. This is a great feature to have for peace mind, particularly when you're breastfeeding and need frequent feedings at night.
Telescopic legs allow the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, such as divan bases and beds with drawers. It features a tilting feature for babies with reflux, as well as a rocking function to help calm them after a meal. It's also extremely spacious and provides excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.
The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our testers, despite the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers, however, it is easily moved from one room to another. It's also able to fold up into its travel bag, which is a great option if you want to transport it. The only issue our testers found is that the side panel did not flex as much compared to other models. This caused it to be a bit more difficult to observe your baby from the bed.
The Shnuggle Air
The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is an excellent choice when you're looking for a crib that grows with your child. It's designed to be a sleep-co-sleeping bassinet that is attached to your bed, but can also convert into a stylish cot when your baby is ready, it's perfect for night-time feeds and for strengthening your bond with your newborn.
Unlike some other models of bedside cribs like the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The mesh side panels with dual-view as well as the hypoallergenic, breathable airflow mattress allow for maximum airflow, keeping your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope can help reduce colic and reflux. The zip-down side allows you to feed your baby, or even comfort them at night.
The kit for conversion to cot is also well-designed, with clear instructions. It includes everything you need. It took us around an hour to assemble and was reasonably straightforward. The only downside was the absence of written captions on a few images, which made it difficult to understand some of the steps. However, it was a simple process and the quality of the materials used was excellent.
In the co-sleeping mode, we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an ideal choice for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section, since it allows them to easily reach out to their infant for comfort and feeding without having to leave their bed. It's great for parents who don't want the hassle of putting their baby in a traditional cot or getting out of it.
During bedside crib and cot observed the gliding motion of this next-to-me crib to be extremely useful in lulling babies back to sleep after midday and nighttime feeds. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies throughout the night. This was a big selling point for our tired test moms. While it doesn't rock or have additional features such as a sound machine, the Joie Roomie Slide's sleek design and functional features make it a great addition to our best bedside crib reviews.
